First Aid Training Co-operative Are Now ISO 9001 Certified!

We are delighted to announce that we are now an ISO 9001:2015 certificated organisation!

ISO 9001 is recognised worldwide as the international benchmark for quality within an organisation.  The assessment process is ISO 9001:2015 badgesomething that we’ve been working on over the festive break.

By achieving our ISO 9001 certification, First Aid Training Co-operative are able to demonstrate to our customers and suppliers that the systems we have in place meet the high standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is the international standard for Quality Management Systems and is a measure of how successfully they perform within a business.  At the heart of the standard is a culture of continual improvement – having an objective look at everything we do, and deciding whether it works and if it can be improved.

This Quality Management approach will run alongside our Quality Assurance System, and incorporate the parts of the business that aren’t included within that.

To gain the ISO 9001 certification, we had to demonstrate our dedication and commitment to meeting our customers’ needs, operating efficient management processes and delivering consistent, good quality products and services.

How do you know its still relevant?

Each year, an external Audit is carried out by a third party to ensure our systems are maintained and any non-conformances are noted for correction.  Quality management is a continual process of improvement, and is something that we are firmly committed to.

For more info you can read up here on the QMS website which is the company we are used to take us through the process and ultimately certify us.

In the future, we are planning to extend our certification to cover ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 18001 H&S Management, and ISO 27001 Information Security Management.

What does it mean for you?

Simply put, it means that you don’t have to just take our word for it when we’re describing how much work we put into delivering the best service and courses that we can, we are now certified to prove it!
