Digital Marketing Officer

We’re looking for an experienced digital marketer with prior experience of creating CPC campaigns, developing content, reporting and analysing data. Working remotely and liaising with the Directors and Office Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the implementation of our digital marketing plan.

Our website has a strong focus on delivering high quality content resources for our users, so a background in digital content, blogging and social media would be beneficial, as would any prior experience with email marketing (specifically Mailchimp, Drip) and SEO.

Initially the role is part time (Equivalent to 1 day or 8 hours per week, £25/hr) and would suit a freelancer or somebody looking for a flexible working arrangement. However, over time we expect the scope of the role to grow, and it could eventually become a full time remote working position for the right person. As the role is working from home we are happy to consider people who are based across the UK.

Responsibilities

– Manage the delivery of First Aid Training Co-operative’s digital marketing activities to generate leads and increase sales across our range of courses and services

– Manage and develop our website’s content and creative, including blog posts and downloadable resources

– Manage our social media activities on Facebook and Twitter to increase our following, promote content and drive engagement

– Manage our email marketing activity, including regular newsletters and marketing automation

– Optimise existing and new content for SEO in line with our existing strategy

– Support with the promotion and management of individual conferences and workshops

– Manage our CRM strategy to increase repeat sales and engage existing customers

– Create marketing reports and analyse performance data to understand current performance and identify potential improvements.

Skills and Experience

– Prior experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns

– Strong content development, copywriting, proof reading and editing skills

– Strong social media management abilities

– Experience with creating and publishing content via WordPress

– Able to work independently and take ownership of campaigns.

About The Author

Cory Jones

Cory is a graduate of the prestigious WEMSI school (Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician), and a qualified teacher with a masters degree in Environmental Management. He has lead expeditions worldwide (currently an International Mountain Leader) and is a director of Outdoor First Aid Limited. Cory Jones has worked in the outdoor industry for over 30 years. He first ran first aid training courses for the Red Cross in 2001. Cory has been a provider for SQA, ITC, REC, Highfield, Open College Network over the years. In 2008 Cory set up First Aid Academy in the Lancashire area and won the ‘New Business of the Year 2008 Award’. By 2010 he was running nearly 250 first aid training courses a year. Today, Cory is a director of Outdoor First Aid Limited as well as being a founder of the First Aid Training Co-operative.
